BaSeBaLl!

A double baseball season has officially begun at my house. For years we've always been doing two baseball seasons and supporting two teams. My dad is well into his baseball season at Shepherd Jr. High being 8-0. We are hoping to be city champs for the 5th year in a row. My dad sure knows how to run a strong team. We are so proud of him for is excellent coaching. He is so dedicated to coaching and to his boys! April 15th with Shepherd plays Highland, I may be a hawk but I'm a stallion at heart! :) Joey is just starting his season for Gilbert American Little League and is on the Cubs team. (Our family's favorite team) He just recently has his opening day on Saturday and played a great first game even with having a broken finger. As I was helping  him load up his huge bag since he couldn't use a hand someone came up to me and said, "Man you know how to back a baseball bag good! Joey you have an amazing sister." and he replied saying, "Yes I certainly do. She always supports me no matter what." He is right I support him 100%. But that's what watching baseball and being apart of it for not almost 16 years does for ya. I felt so good after the guy walked away. Joey's been playing baseball since he was 4 and to hear something like that felt so good. I have an amazing brother! I enjoy watching Joey play baseball more than anyone. It makes me so happy to watch him play a game that he loves SO much! He is an amazing player and just like our dad is 100% dedicated. He is playing catcher and shortstop this year with some occasional pitching. I've really enjoyed watching him year after year get better and become the player he is today. He is a leader on the field and in the dugout! I'm so excited to get back into the swing of things with baseball. I miss it sometimes! :) Leah, my Mom and I are always the cheerleaders!

FrIeNdS, WhAt WoUlD I Do WiThOuT ThEm???

I truly believe that people are put into our life for a reason! Everything happens for a reason, yup I can testify that it's true. It's not an accident, they are there to change our lives. Here are a few people who have changed me life and made me who I am! (No Names)

* A thousand miles away and a state away, we haven't seen each other for two years yet you're my best friend. That summer I met you changed my life. You haven't left me and  you have always been there for me. You know how to make me feel good and you know how to cheer me up! You remind me that everything is gonna be alright! We pinky promised.... Best Friends Forever!

* "God knew our mothers couldn't handle us as sisters, thats why he made us cousins." We've been through it all! From happiness to trials we've always got each others backs! Music and quotes are our things. This summer will be a summer to remember! I'll honk my horn and tell you I'm home then we'll run away and start a new adventure. And when we return.... it's back to reality!

* You... Are... So... Beautiful...To...Meee! :) When I was struggling and at my lowest you were there 24/7 no matter what. You believed in me when no one else did and you still do! You helped me change my life and change the person I am today. No one knows me like you do. You give me strength and you're smile brightens my day and changes my life. You've given me so many tools and shown me so many things to make me happy. YOU are my hero! You saved me! Things wont be the same without you next year! I love you so very much! :)

* Two min away, streets away but rivalry schools away. What more could we go through together! No one relates to me more than you do! From friends, to best friends, to distant cousins so close to being sisters. You are the strength, the hope and the height I lack in life. My life wouldn't be the same without you.

* You were the best scripture buddy anyone could have. Not only are you my friend but you're like my older brother. You've helped me so much through the tough times I've had. You never turn me away and you haven't given up on me. You were an answer to my prayers. You're always right and you always know exactly what to say. When this year ends things won't be the same and I will miss you.

* Schools apart and streets apart. My life would not be the same without you. We've gotten so close this year and it makes me so happy! I love you like crazy and you've changed my life. No matter what happens I'll always be there for you! Even if we're miles apart, it doesn't matter! You're a strong girl and amaze me all the time. I miss seeing your bubbly personality every day! :)

* My girls....... I've grown so close to you! You've made this year so much fun! Our random laughs at lunch, random voices and jokes. You make my days so special! I don't know what I would do without you girls! I would do anything for you girls! I love you! :)

"Determinations is the souls willingness to fight against all the odds and succeed."

My SaViOr!

My Savior

His hands,
His feet,
The nail prints,
He suffered

He suffered for me,
Thats I might live again,
He suffered for me
That I might make mistakes,
And He suffered for me,
That I might go to know him.

He is my older brother,
My dad,
My friend,
My comforter,
And....
My Savior.

This is my wish for you: comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that when you doubt, patience to accept the truth, courage to know yourself, and love to complete your life.

HeAdBaNdS & CLiPs!

My cousin and I were looking for something to do the other day and decided to make headbands and clips, since we can never have enough. So we headed off to Hobby Lobby and spent and hour and a half getting what we needed. Who knew picking out flowers and ribbon could be so much fun and time consuming. We hurried home got out the hot glue gun and began working. We bought some cheap plain black headbands and clips, then covered them with black ribbon and hot glued our flowers on them. It was a quick, fast, simple, and cheap project!

YoU ArE ThE ReAsOn!

YOU ARE THE REASON

For a second you catch a glimpse
Of a smile on my face.
You look at me for a moment
And all I see is your greatness.
I turn away cause tears form in my eyes.
Though inside there is this happiness waiting to burst.

I feel like I'm floating up in the sky
And all because I know you.
You make me wanna fly high above the rest,
Laughing as I get that calm feeling,
That everything is all right.

So this smile on my face,
I believe is here to stay.
And whenever I feel sad,
My worries you'll push away.
YOU are the reason...
I will never give up without a fight.

The Journey
I will survive this, I know
I have not come this far already.
The way may be long,
but I will follow not the easy road.
I will choose my own path.
I may stumble but falling down,
will only make me stronger.
I see many faces and each,
has a story to tell.
My horizons expand
as my outlook on the world is broadened.
Each day is a brand new beginning.
I will not take life for granted
and, I will live it to its fullest.
Why dwell on the bad things,
when there are so many blessings in life.
And I will take this journey,
each step a time.
Until I come to the end
and, can look back
at how far I've come.

ToDaY!

This a poem that I read each morning before I start my day, to start my day off with a good attitude. Often times when I'm having a bad day I catch myself reciting this poem. It's become one of my favorites.

TODAY
Outside my window, a new day I see
and only I can determine what kind of day it will be.
It can be busy and sunny, laughing and gay,
or boring and cold, unhappy and gray.
My own state of mind is the determining key,
for I am the only person I let myself be.
I can be thoughtful and do all I can to help,
or be selfish and think just of myself.
I can enjoy what I do and make it seem fun,
or gripe and complain and make it hard on someone.
I can be patient with those who may not understand,
or belittle and hurt them as much as I can.
But I have faith in myself, and believe what I say,
and personally intend to make the best of each day.

ThE CLiMb!

I really like this song, it helps remind me that no matter how hard life is I just have to hold my head high and keep going! The trials we go through always make us stronger. I will never give up without a fight!
The Climb
I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it."

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes I knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember the most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
Sometimes you're gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, Keep your faith, whoa

StUcO StAtE CoNvEnTiOn!

This past week I had the opportunity to go to Tucson with 9 other StuCo members to a leadership conference. It was a weekend to remember! The weekend consisted of a spirit days ( Dr. Seuss character day, school spirit day and look to the future bling and gold day), fantastic speakers, a carnival/ dance,  barrels of fun, tons of music, vendors, MUFFINS, glitter, lots of spirit, pictures, laughter, smiles, happy kids, tired kids, and memories that will last a life time. After a rough couple of months this was something I certainly needed. A weekend where I could be myself, laugh until I cried ( That happened just about every min. :), and not have to worry about everything else that has been going on. There was NEVER a dull moment this weekend. Every moment was filled with some kind of laughter. I don't know what this weekend did to me but I've been so happy ever since! I can't wait till next year where I can live this experience again. I love my StuCo girls.....and our pimp! :)
